On Sunday 22nd October 2006, we
held our first “ Manchester Apprentice-style
Challenge day “ for our teams from Stoke,
Manchester and across Cheshire. 6 teams entered
this first event, which was an opportunity for
the regional 2007 team to meet up and also raise
money for their oz experience trip.
The teams all met up at Victoria Station at 10.30a.m
and were briefed before setting off to complete
56 tasks which included having their photographs
taken with boats, fire engines, policemen, French
people and even Manchester City supporters- which
was no mean feat since Manchester United were
playing Liverpool that day at Old Trafford.
Our teams proved to be full of high spirits
and one group even accosted a canal boat owner
for a picture and lets not forget the skill
used in having a picture next to a Spitfire
which had been moved since we set the questions.
The weather held off and everyone had a great
time- we look forward to doing it all over again
next year!
