Spooky Goings On at The Joshua Foundation's Halloween Party

On Tuesday 24th October 2006, Halloween arrived early for the children of the Joshua Foundation. A fantastic Halloween party was thrown at the wonderful Tiger Tiger Club on Greyfrairs Road, Cardiff which saw nearly 150 guests enjoy a night of spookiness and wonderment. The nightclub which is normally full of party revellers, was full of ghosts, goblins, witches and caspers!!! Families from across the UK joined us for a terrific night of ducking apples, party games, tasty Halloween food and fancy dress competitions. Wow the costumes were all fabulous!! Children were entertained by Erbie the clown and Real Radio breakfast presenters Angela and Ian. One special little girl saw her wishes come true as a pink stretch limo pulled up outside her home to take her to the Halloween party and boy did she look every inch the princess.

The Joshua Foundation would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Jon Saunders and all the staff at Tiger Tiger who not only donated the facility for the party, but also put on food and drink. Jon and the crew were a credit to Tiger Tiger and we know that all the families had a fantastic night and what an experience they helped us create.

Some of the families stayed overnight in Cardiff and we would also like to extend our enormous thanks to Jurys Hotel, The Marriott Hotel, Novotel Cardiff Centre, The Royal Hotel, The Angel Hotel, The Hilton Hotel, The Holiday Inn and The Quality Hotel. The next day families were treated to a tour of The Millennium Stadium, where they held the Millennium Cup and even stood in the bath that Gavin Henson used!! To finish off the event a good time was had by all at The Hard Rock Café. We know that all the families were treated like royalty at the hotels and venues we visited and what a great image of Cardiff these people have left in the minds of our families.

Last but by no means least, a great big thank you to all our very special families for making the party one to remember!
