On Friday 23rd April a courageous young lady from Swansea was lucky enough to be invited to the musical Hairspray at The Millennium Centre, Cardiff and meet the cast backstage after the show. Lara was given 4 tickets to watch the musical and chose to take two of her friends and her aunty with her for the evening after her poor mum was stranded abroad due to the ash cloud!. After the show finished front of house staff collected Lara to take her to meet the cast and have the all important pictures taken and autographs signed. Lara who loves to sing was asked to perform in front of Michael Ball but her nerves got the better of her and she decided against it. The Joshua Foundation would like to say a huge thank you to Michael Ball and all the cast involved in Hairspray for their time.
Lara was also fortunate enough to receive a personal makeover and shopping experience at The House of Fraser store in Cwmbran arriving in style in a luxury limo. The wonderful staff at the store gave Lara and her mum the chance to try on different styles of clothes, have a make up lesson and makeover, lunch and time to spend the money in store that the staff had collected for her. A huge thank you to Lorraine and all the staff involved at The House of Fraser, Cwmbran.
