Cheque Presentation (Morriston Golf Club) - 31st March 2009

Club captain Richard White chose the Joshua Foundation as his charity for the year; a series of events around the course including bunker fines, collections and fundraising projects raised the staggering total of £2449.29p The Club invited Pat & Adrian Cornelius to their AGM when the cheque was presented in front of a large enthusiastic audience of members & their families. Pat then spoke to the assembled group giving them a resume of the family support work undertaken by the charity on behalf of children with terminal cancer; at the end of her presentation, there were few dry eyes in the hall ! A splendid evening.

Cheque Presentation ( Gellifawr Hotel - nr Fishguard ) - 3rd April 2009

The charity had been adopted by Rocesi’r Fro’... a welsh speaking women’s group from the Gwaun valley, nr Fishguard, as one of their charities for 2008-2009. At one of their speaker evenings, attended by Pat & Adrian, a cheque for £500 was presented to support the work of the Foundation. The group were aware of the links between TJF and the local area, through the Noddfa apartments at Fishguard that provide holidays throughout the year ...for many families with a child with cancer

Swansea Sound Radio: 27th May 2009

Pat & Adrian Cornelius, as the Foundation’s Official Ambassadors visited the “Swansea Sound studio” at Gorseinon on Wednesday 27th May to accept a cheque raised by the “The Wave “ listeners of the station. The total collection came to an amazing £5000.

Parcel Post (Newport): 28th May 2009

Two intrepid parcel post drivers have braved the 2008-2009 winter as they have delivered parcels to homes across the Welsh valleys … wearing their shorts .. come rain, snow or hail !

Terry Mercy + John Lloyd persuaded their customers … and many of their fellow workers at the Maesglas Industrial Estate, Newport to put their hands in their pockets to support the work of the Joshua Foundation. Terry had been moved by the work of the foundation after attending a concert at the Millenium Centre in December 2008.

On Thursday, 28th May Pat & Adrian attended a presentation at the Maesglas depot when a series of cheques totalling £1750 was handed over.

St Mellon’s Golf Club: 2nd June 2009

Ste Mellon’s Golf Club held a charity match day with the Joshua Foundation nominated as one of the two charities to benefit from the proceeds. Pat & Adrian Cornelius attended the evening presentation ceremony in front of 200 guests when the grand total of £11,.000 + was announced. The proceeds are to be shared between the Joshua Foundation & Latch [ £ 5750 each ]
