13 of Wales’s best looking young men came along to face their fears at the
National Dive and Activity centre in Chepstow on Saturday 5th July.
The challenge day was all in the name of charity!! And the guys undertook both physical and mental
challenges in order to raise sponsorship for The Joshua Foundation, who is the adopted charity of Vibe
models who organize and run the Mister Wales and Miss Wales’s competitions.
The day started nice an early with a 9:30am start, some of boys didn’t even have time to do their
hair as they had to travel from as far a field as Swansea and Neath!!
Once the guys had been briefed on the day’s activities, they were split into two teams and
then taken off to get their hands dirty!!
There were numerous challenges to undertake during the day, which included a 200ft Abseil down a cliff
into a quarry. And also several mental, team building exercise where the guys had to work together as
a team to complete the tasks and had to use their brains not just their brawn!!
After a spot of lunch the teams swapped over activities. We were very lucky all day as the rain stayed away.
The day was then rounded off with BBQ and a debriefing from the instructors. They praised all
of the guys for their hard work and determination and said that ‘considering they had only met that
day, they worked fantastically as a team to complete the group tasks’
The Joshua Foundation would like to say a special thank you to Darren Bryce and his team from
The National Dive and Activity Centre for making the day so enjoyable and we look forward to working with
them again in the near future.
Finally we would also like to say a massive thanks to all of the Mister Wales contestants for coming along
and taking part on the day and ultimately helping to raise funds for the charity.
