Miss / Mister Wales 2008 Finals @ the CIA in Cardiff on Saturday 19th July

57 of Wales’s most beautiful young ladies and 18 of Wales’s best looking guys strutted their stuff on the catwalk of the CIA on Saturday 19th of July, in a bid to be crowned Miss Wales 2008 and Mister Wales 2008!

The sell out crowd of 1000 people watched in awe as the girls and guys competed in three separate rounds, which included evening wear, party wear and Welsh wear for the ladies and swim wear, evening wear and Welsh wear for the guys.

It was a spectacular evening which saw Chloe Beth Morgan of Cymbran crowned Miss Wales 2008 and Jonny Rees of Swansea crowned Mister Wales 2008!

Miss charity was won by Rhian Adams from Aberdare, who raised a staggering £5,049.00 and Mister Charity went to Paris Etoria of Cardiff who managed to raise £2,023.00 in just six weeks!!

All of the girls and guys worked extremely hard with their fundraising to raise an amazing £75,000 for the charity. This makes The Miss Wales and Mister Wales’s competition the highest fundraising beauty pageant in the UK!!

The final at the CIA was the perfect end to a fantastic weekend of glitz and glamour. As all the girls and guys also attended the Charity ball, which was held at Holland House on Friday 18th July. The dinner helped to push the fundraising total over the amazing amount of £55,000 which was raised last year.

Everyone at the Joshua Foundation would like to say a massive thank you to all of the contestants who took part in the competition, and helped raise a staggering amount of money for children with terminal cancer.

The Joshua Foundation is also looking forward to working with Vibe models, the organizers of the competition for many years to come. And would like to thank Paula, Clare and their team, for all of their support and hard work, to make the competition such a success.
