On Saturday 7th June, around 10 of the Miss Wales finalists came along to Merthyr Fire Station to take part
in a charity car wash.
The girls did not really come prepared for the days manual activities, as most were wearing high heal shoes!
However the fire fighters were on hand and quickly had the girls kitted out in wellies and water proof trousers.
For once the weather was on our side and the sun shone all day. The girls and the fire crew worked hard washing
as many cars as they could.
By 3pm the queues of cars had died down and so it was time to count the money from a hard days work!!
A magnificent £426.28 was raised from just a couple of hour’s elbow grease!
Everyone had a great day and lots of fun was had by all. On behalf of the Miss Wales Contestants and
The Joshua Foundation we would like to thank Merthyr Fire Station for helping us make the day such a great success.
