Welcome to 2008

2008 marks the 10th birthday of the Joshua Foundation and we will be celebrating in true style and also providing some very special experiences for our children during this coming year.

There is a wonderful dinner planned for Saturday 6th September 2008 at Caerphilly Castle for friends and supporters who have helped us make life a real experience for children with terminal cancer over the past ten years.

In late October a very special "Dead Sea to Red Sea" trek will take place which will be led by our Chief Executive, Joshua’s mother, Sarah Cornelius. Joshua’s ashes are buried at Ben Shemen near Tel Aviv and the group will visit the site before heading down to the Dead Sea to start the trek to the Red Sea resort of Eilat. There the group will meet families from the UK with children with terminal cancer which we will have sent out for a holiday of a lifetime which will include a fabulous swim with the dolphins.

December 4th will be the 10th anniversary of Joshua’s death and to mark this occasion we will be holding a very special night of music at the premier venue, the Millenium Centre, Cardiff Bay, involving a cast of over 600 children from schools across South Wales. There will also be some very special guests joining us for the evening.

Its been an amazing experience over the past 10 years providing holidays and experiences for children with terminal cancer in memory of Joshua Cornelius. We hope that you will all join us in making 2008 a year to remember!

Happy New Year
