Pat & Adrian represented the Foundation at a number of events

Pat & Adrian meet "Le Bleus". [ September 2007 ]

Pat & Adrian represented the Joshua Foundation at the lunch gathering of the French World Cup squad at Bryn Meadows Golf Club ( courtesy of VIBE ). The whole squad travelled to the Golf Course for lunch and recreational opportunities ... a round of golf + access to the spa facilities. However, the players led by Head Coach Bernard Leporte enjoyed a large lunch , but most were quite happy to go back to the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff ; with only a handful staying on for a game of golf.

Pat managed to attract the attention of a few French players .. including former captain Fabien Pelous... and the Sale Sharks player ... Sebastian Chabal.

The proceeds will be to help fund Jess’s Oz trip in 2008. A major feature was the participation of three generations of the Hollies family: Jess, her Father ... and her 70+ year old grandmother

Radio Interview ... BBC Radio Gloucester [ 6th September 2007)

Adrian took part in a live radio interview with John Stockley of BBC Radio Gloucester in support of Jess Hollies (Wyedean School, Chepstow) who took part in a sponsored abseil event at the National Diving Centre in the Forest of Dean on Sunday 16th September. Jess is a member of the 2008 Oz team. The interview was a means of advertising her event, and for Adrian to inform listeners of the work undertaken by the Joshua Foundation.

The Celtic Crusader’s Rugby League Club: [ 26th August 2007 ]

Pat & Adrian were guests of the Celtic Crusaders at the last home game of the season; a victorious game for the Crusaders who comfortably beat Gatehead Thunderers... to set themselves up for promotion to Division 1.

The match was also an occasion for the raffle draw for the car donated by Nathaniel Cars (Bridgend). At half time in the game , Pat was invited to draw the winning ticket. Where-as at most raffle draws, the winner is not present, on this occasion , the winner was sitting in the grandstand a few rows behind us, Mr Ray Philips ( from the Rhondda )

The Crusaders have now clinched the title and promotion, by virtue of close rivals Featherstone being beaten at Barrow, and their own decisive victory away at Gateshead. CONGRATULATIONS ... to JOHN DIXON & the TEAM !

Charity Day; Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club. [ 22nd August 2007 ]

A very pleasant evening was spent at the former home of the Rolls family at Monmouth, where Pat & Adrian were guests at the Charity day Dinner, hosted by the Club Captain (Graham Holder) & his wife.

Some 75 golfers had taken part in an excellent day of golf, with the proceeds of the golf, the dinner, and subsequent raffles + auction being presented to the Joshua Foundation.

After a splendid meal, Adrian made a short presentation on the work of the Foundation, prior to the raffle + auction. The total collection is likely to exceed £3000; the cheque will be presented at a later date at the TJF offices in Cardiff.
