A group of Joshua Foundation staff took to the water last month (18th June 2007)...it was only the ferry to the Isle of Wight ! The team crossed over to attend a lunchtime engagement for members of the Pharmaceutical Marketing Society who braved the choppy waters of the Solent to raise money for the Joshua Foundation.

Thirty-three boats set out on the crossing from Hamble .. to Cowes; the outward leg was a practice run ; the return crossing a race ! 32 boats safely arrived at the Royal Yacht Squadron Club at Cowes .. before enjoying a splendid lunch in a marquee on the lawns. During the lunch they listened to a short address from Sarah Cornelius (CEO: The Joshua Foundation) ... and then dug deeply into their pockets to fill envelopes with cash + cheques in response to her appeal for funds.

Next year .. the event will be involving sponsored boats.
