  The
Bridgend based Rugby League team, the Celtic
Crusaders brought happiness to some of our children
when they made the trip to a home game on Monday
9th April 2007. The Crusaders have adopted the
Joshua Foundation as their official charity
and donated tickets for the families to go along
to the game. The families were picked up in
style by stretch limousine from their homes
and taken to the Brewery Field for an afternoon
of fun.
A fantastic audience of nearly 3000 enjoyed
the game between the Crusaders and the Blackpool
Panthers H W in the bright sunshine of the Easter
Monday bank holiday. At half time some of our
children were treated to a stint on the pitch
with some of the Crusaders who showed them some
rugby skills including kicking the ball over
the posts! The game was a great success for
our partners, the Crusaders as they beat the
visiting team 68-0.A big thank you all at the
Crusaders particularly David Thompson for making
the day so enjoyable.
