The Celtic Crusaders
have adopted The Joshua Foundation as their
official charity for the new season with a brand
new car waiting to be won as part of the fundraising
campaign.
The car – a Chevrolet Kalos has been
donated by Crusaders’ car sponsors Bridgend-based
Nathaniel Car Sales and is up for grabs in a
six-month long prize draw.
The draw is being launched at this Friday’s
Celtic Crusaders season opener against former
World Club Champions Widnes Vikings at the Brewery
Field, Bridgend.
Crusaders commercial director David Thompson
said: “The club’s adoption of The
Joshua Foundation will be an important part
of our season.
“We not only hope to raise a lot of money
for the charity, but support them in all sorts
of other activities involving the whole club.
Pat Cornelius, grandmother of seven-year-old
Joshua Cornelius, in whose memory The Joshua
Foundation was founded, said: “The support
of organisations like the Celtic Crusaders is
crucial to us.
“In the last nine years the foundation
has provided support, holidays and special experiences
for more than 1,500 children with cancer and
their families from all over the UK.”
“We are now looking forward to working
with the Celtic Crusaders, their players and
supporters to ensure this new partnership is
a big fundraising success.”
The car will be on show at the Brewery Field
this Friday when the first prize draw tickets
at £1 each will go on sale.
