Over
the last seven years The Joshua Foundation has
implemented and maintained a highly successful
grants program which has resulted in the charity
receiving over £200,000 in both specific and
non specific funding.
Our largest grant to date came from the Zurich
Foundation in 2003 for £100,000. This allowed
us to renovate a property donated to us in Fishguard
into two
luxurious apartments; these facilities are
now restored to a very high standard and are
used by our families all year round. Additionally
in 2002 The Zurich Foundation provided a grant
for us to purchase a holiday
home in Tenby, West Wales, and again this
has been extremely successful with all our families.
During the last seven years The
Joshua Foundation has received funding from
the following trusts:
A&S Burton 1960 Charitable
Trust, The Casey Trust, CAF, The Childwick Trust,
The Fulmer Charitable Trust, The Jane Hodge
Foundation, The James Pantyfedwen Foundation,
The 29th May 1961 Charitable Trust, The Mackintosh
Foundation,The National Lottery Community Fund,
The Samual Sebba Charitable Trust, Sovereign
Health Care Since 1871, The Sobell Foundation,
The Trusthouse, Charitable Trust, Zurich Kids
2 Care 4, The Welsh Church Act Fund, The Peter
Black Charitable trust.
We have also forged
strong relationships with trusts such as The
St James's Trust who have pledged to substantially
support the charity for the next three years.
The charity is always trying to increase our
trust base and this is achieved by our ever
expanding Grants program, however if you are
a trustee of a Trust, Foundation or Grant making
organisation and you would like to help change
the lives of children with terminal cancer,
