| The Joshua Foundation
is a charity which was created to provide holidays
and experiences for children aged 0 - 19 and
their families where the child is suffering
from cancer. The holidays and experiences available
are as follows:
-
Individual domestic experiences granted to
the children and their families i.e trips
to cinemas, theme parks, limo rides, laptops,
sports events etc
-
Regional experiences i.e Hard Rock Café,
Halloween parties
-
National group domestic experiences i.e
Planet Hollywood gatherings, London Experience
- The idea
behind the 'experiences' and 'holidays' that
the Joshua Foundation provides is to allow
the children and their families to escape
illness and the intimidating, clinical and
sterile atmosphere of hospitals. Our aim is
to make life a real experience for the children
and their families.
- We offer
individual experiences
and Group Trips .
- Whereas
other wish organisations provide one-off experiences,
the Joshua Foundation effectively 'adopts'
children and their families providing them
with on going experiences
To date, the Joshua Foundation has assisted
over 250 terminally ill children and their families.
We work with 15 of the Paediatric Oncology Units
across the UK, as well as two overseas units
- Melbourne Children's Hospital and Hadassah
Hospital, Jerusalem.
