Our very first ‘Breakfast with Santa’ event went down a treat! As 14 limousines rolled up outside Colwick Hall Hotel in Nottingham carrying more than 20 families from far and wide, it was evident that our children and families needed this well-deserved break, we could tell from the smiles on their lovely little faces.
Breakfast was served for 10.30 and was wolfed down by all in attendance; sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, beans, tomatoes and fried bread filled everyone’s barrel-like bellies. Opaz entertainment kept the kids busy, dancing to many a festive Christmas-tune. The limbo and musical Christmas statues were just some of the crazy games we played.
Christmas card making, face painting, colouring pictures, a raffle and our Christmas quiz kept everyone else busy too.
After we’d eaten, played, danced and generally tired ourselves out, we were SO lucky to have a visit from Santa himself! He brought along his little helpers and his elves, and he even bought presents for all the children! How lucky we were!
With more than 100 guests having Breakfast with Santa, everyone had a fantastic time and said they were looking forward to the next one... don’t worry, only another 365 days left to go.
The Joshua Foundation would like to say a massive thank-you to everyone who helped us with this event and for everyone who made it so special; especially to our families who we cannot thank enough for being so wonderful!
Merry Crimble to you all!
