TJF Welsh Mountain Challenge

Dear Supporter,

We would like to invite you to take part in our inaugural TJF Welsh Mountain Challenge taking place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2009. It will encompass the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains as well as a night under canvas, (tent, evening meal and breakfasts included). You can enter as an individual or as part of a team and only a moderate fitness level is required. Many of our supporters have previously undertaken the 3 Peaks challenge as well as a whole range of other challenges in support of our work and we have been consistently asked if we would organise a custom made challenge. Having looked at all the options we have come up with what we feel is in keeping with the ethos of the charity. As the Foundation was started in South Wales we have based the challenge here. We have also tried to make it more eco-friendly than some challenges as not so much driving is involved.

The registration fee is £50 or £200 for a team of five and you need to raise a minimum of £200 in sponsorship. We can provide sponsor forms or you may prefer to set up your own page on the Just Giving website, www.justgiving.com . For further information please contact Clare Harries on 029 20757020 or at clare.harries@thejoshuafoundation.co.uk. We are organising the challenge through an experienced outdoor adventure company called Adventure Café. They will be running the challenge on our behalf and everyone involved will be raising funds solely for The Joshua Foundation. These funds will enable us to continue our work in providing holidays and experiences to children who are terminally ill with cancer and their families. For further information about the work of the Foundation please look at our website www.thejoshuafoundation.co.uk

We can assure you of a tremendous experience as well as the chance to fundraise for a great cause! We look forward to receiving your application. Please send it with a cheque for £50 made payable to “The Joshua Foundation” to The Joshua Foundation, 13a Station Road, Llanishen, Cardiff, CF14 5LS

Kind Regards

Clare Harries
