The 4th TJF Halloween party was once again held in The Great Hall at Caerphilly Castle on Thursday, 30th October 2008. 31 families from the Heath Hospital’s Children’s Oncology Unit came along on the evening and were greeted in from the cold by Storm Troopers from the Star Wars movies handing them their Halloween party bags. The storm troopers were happy to pose for pictures with the children and their dads!

Once inside the Great Hall the children were entertained by Merlin the ever so scary and Droole the fool with balloon modelling and a 30 minute show. The gorgeous hog roast was once again a great hit with everybody and at the end of the evening there wasn’t a lot left for the Castle’s resident ghost! Deciding the winners of the fancy dress competition was once again the hardest part of the evening as everybody entered into the true SPIRIT of the evening and made a huge effort, including mums, dads, grans & granddads.

The DJ organised party games and gave prizes for the spookiest dancers. The evening was partly funded with sponsorship provided by Petrie Recruitment and we extend our thanks to them as well as our great friends and supporters the Storm Troopers from the UK Garrison. But most of all a huge thank you to our gorgeous special children and their families!
