The Joshua Foundation’s "Lite The Nite" fundraiser hit the streets of Nottingham on Sunday
18th November 2007 at 5pm.
This was the first "Lite The Nite" in Nottingham and what a triumph it was!! Despite such poor weather conditions, this didn’t stop our fundraisers. 99 walkers came together from all over the Midlands for this spectacular event!!
This 5km-sponsored walk took place around the streets of Nottingham starting at The Rutland Square Hotel, where our walkers could meet and greet each other. From here they got wrapped up, hoods up, had a prep talk from Sarah Cornelius and then got ready to go. After the event everyone returned to "dry off" and to get warm before releasing the balloons in memory of Joshua Cornelius.
Our illuminated balloons literally lit the sky of Nottingham. There was such a good atmosphere amongst our fundraisers and a tremendous amount of funds were raised.
Thank you to everyone who took part!!
This is just the beginning, "Lite The Nite" will be seeing Nottingham again!!
