Joshua Shram Cornelius was born May 8th 1991 at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. Joshua lived in Israel, 1995/96 while Sarah worked as a Research fellow at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.

Joshua was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Round Cell Tumour, an aggressive cancer when he was 5 years old, in December 1996. During the 2 years that Joshua underwent treatment for his cancer, he literally travelled the world.

On September 27th 1998 Joshua took part in the Joshua Foundations first event - a 5k fun run - and he did it all on his bike, despite being on oral morphine. Joshua died on December 4th 1998, aged 7. His legacy lives on.
