Ab Fab is a 10 mile walk, which is an achievable distance for most people, as long as you’re preparation and training is correct.
Therefore we have developed a series of training guides, which are based on individual’s varying levels of fitness.
We have incorporated this with some top tips on healthy living and advice to help you stay in shape and feel great.
Time for a change!
If you are currently not as active as you would like to be, then the Ab Fab walk is a great chance to start thinking about how you can lead a healthier more active lifestyle.
Why not use Ab Fab as an incentive to get into the habit of making exercise part of your daily routine? By doing this you will not only feel the individual benefits, but you will also be helping to raise money for children with terminal cancer!

Walking is free!
Walking is an easy part of a daily routine, and there are many ways that you can maximize your walking.
Ditch the car for that trip to the shops, hop off the bus one stop early, and make the school run a school walk, or take a stroll with your sandwich at lunchtime.
Walking is a great way to boost your cardiovascular fitness, can improve bone density, boost your metabolism, ease stress and help you lose weight, plus it doesn’t cost anything!
Just grab a decent pair of walking shoes/trainers and get started!
Shoes/Trainers
The most important item you need is a good pair of shoes or trainers. They should fit comfortably; have a flexible sole and plenty of toe room.
Identify a good pair of shoes/trainers at the start of your training program, so that you can break them in, this will avoid blisters when you take part in the final 10 mile walk.
Socks
The type of socks you wear are as important as the shoes you choose.
If possible choose thermal or any socks made of cool max rather than the standard cotton socks. Your feet will be much more comfortable, dryer and more likely to stay blister free in this fabric.

People could upload their training diaries and so other people can see how they are doing with their training etc.
Could also create a facebook group, where again people can discuss how their training is going etc and also they can then invite other people to join the group and hopefully take part in the walk.
